October 15, 2024 · Summary of an article by Andrew Allemann, Domain Name Wire

After a tender, Anguilla signed a five-year revenue-share contract with Identity Digital to run the .ai registry, replacing the CoCCA platform. Anguilla keeps most of the revenue and gets a minimum guarantee.

At the time .ai had passed 500,000 names and accounted for around a fifth of the territory's revenue.
