What Identity Digital's takeover means for .ai owners
Identity Digital completed the migration of .ai to its registry platform on January 15, 2025. Transfers between registrars now add two years to the registration, and WHOIS shows creation and expiry dates again.
The new system runs on AWS and is said to respond about 80 times faster than the old one. Wholesale pricing was not changed at the time.
